SmartSerial is a modern serial terminal for communicating with devices using USB and built-in serial ports. Created for stand-alone monitoring and control of IoT devices such as Arduino based MCU's, the app will auto-detect new COM ports and even auto-connect, saving your commands for re-use and serial output for analysis.

One program to rule them all - If you use windows portable apps or executable programs that do not include an installer, this is a simple utility that will catalogue any program added inside a folder of your choosing, display a list and allow you to start a program with a double-click.

Proof Of Life will monitor a list of network-connected computers or devices for a basic ping response, indicating whether each are online or not. The app can also send email messages with status changes using your own SMTP email service.

DSS Converter

This app will convert DSS (Digital Speech Standard) audio files commonly used on digital dictation recorders from Philips and Olympus. Although it's called DSS Converter, it can convert all common audio formats into any other format with a simple drag-drop interface and simple controls to complete the task with minimal effort.

The AVR Firmware Uploader is a stand-alone app to flash memory on AVR chip IoT devices. The app auto-detects serial ports when they are connected, making it simple way for end-users to update their firmware. It's also useful for developers wanting to flash multiple units with pre-compiled binary images.

Copy Cleaner

Copy Cleaner is an app that cleans up copied text from one application to another. By default it removes tabs, extra spaces and line breaks, but it can also remove complex patterns of characters using regular expressions, making this a tool I regularly use when designing for laying out copy from MS Word and web pages It's also super useful for correctly formatting code copied from other applications. For repetitive conversion its click, click, click and done.

CSS Inliner

CSS Inliner merges CSS rules to matching tags found in HTML files. The process is generally called CSS inlining, and it's a required step when producing richly formatted email.
